Hi, I’m Joshua Douglas, a versatile multidisciplinary creative leader and brand builder.

Joshua brings 20 years of experience in creative strategy, branding, design, and interactive to his role as the SVP, Creative Director at Deerfield where he leads the corporate communications creative team. A versatile leader and mentor, Joshua pilots multidisciplinary teams of designers, strategists, videographers, and developers to create engaging and thought provoking campaigns for change makers in the healthcare industry. He brings his passion for the unique communities served by the pharmaceutical industry to every project, ensuring that all patient voices are heard to create unique and meaningful creative..

Prior to joining the DFG team, Joshua led the creative team at JPA Health where he oversaw rebrands of Blue Circle Health, Emergent Biosolutions, and Milestone Pharma; guided high-impact social media campaigns on women’s reproductive health for Medicines360; oversaw creative asset creation for four integrated unbranded lung cancer campaigns for AstraZeneca; and launched over 30 website redesign projects including sites for Applied Therapeutics, Arvinas, Ayala Pharmaceuticals, and Regenxbio..

Prior to JPA, Joshua was a senior art director at Purple Strategies supporting Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 brands. At Purple, he managed a team of designers and developers to launch eighteen interactive campaigns and website redesigns and has led multiple visual design projects for some of the world’s largest and most successful companies, including Altria, Booz Allen Hamilton, BP, Caterpillar, MetLife, and Time Warner Cable.

Joshua is a proud graduate of Ohio University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design. He has been a fixture in the DC design world where he has lived for 20 years and served as the President of the Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington. He currently lives in Northern Virginia with his wife, rescue dog and shelter cat.
